2007/Career Statistics & Game Log
dionnesdugout.com
Bio: spent his first four seasons in Houston before heading to Tampa Bay where he became a starting infielder until mid-2006 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. His best season was 2005 when he hit .295 and stole 39 bases. He comes to Boston to bat lead off and replace Alex Gonzalez at short stop. He becomes the Red Sox's fifth starting short stop in four years.
Projected 2007 Statistics: .280, 10, 50, 110, 25
Fantasy Outlook: he will provide you with a lot of runs scored batting in the Red Sox lineup. If he remains in the lead off spot which I suspect he will, he'll be hitting a respectable average. Chances are he won't swipe 40 bases playing in Boston because that isn't our style, however he could get around 25, which would help out any fantasy team. There are better options as your starting short stop, but there are worse ones too. He is versatile as well from last season.
